Return My Vote, in partnership with Alabama Forward and student volunteers from the University of Alabama’s Vote Everywhere chapter, has put together an Election Guide for Tuscaloosa County’s 2026 General Election. The Guide covers making a voting plan, voter eligibility and registration, the voting process and your rights, common voting questions, the constitutional amendments on the ballot, and each office and its candidates — with candidate biographies and their answers on priority issues identified by voters. The Guide is nonpartisan and does not endorse any candidate.

This year’s ballot includes an open U.S. Senate seat, U.S. House, Governor and other statewide offices, the state legislature, and local races. To see exactly who will be on your ballot, visit alforward.branch.vote.

General Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. If you’re voting absentee:

  • Thursday, October 29 is the last day to apply for an absentee ballot in person.
  • Monday, November 2 is the last day to hand-deliver your ballot, by close of business.
  • A mailed ballot must arrive by noon on November 3.

Registration for this election closed October 19. You can check your registration and find your polling place at myinfo.alabamavotes.gov.
