Dori Miles

Co-Director
Return My Vote

Dori Miles is co-director of Return My Vote, a grassroots campaign restoring and protecting voting rights for Alabamians with criminal legal involvement. A former Southern California lawyer and community organizer, she leads strategy, coalition-building, and public outreach to expand ballot access. Dori collaborates with civic groups, legal advocates, and policymakers to drive systemic change and boost voter engagement.

Dr. Richard Fording

Richard Fording is co-director of Return My Vote and Professor of Political Science at the University of Alabama, with a research focus on public policy, race, state politics, and social movements. Return My Vote is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free virtual and in-person counseling to help Alabamians with felony convictions restore their voting rights.
