Return My Vote in partnership with Alabama Forward has compiled an Election Guide for Northport, Alabama’s 2025 Municipal Election. This Guide includes information on registering to vote, how to create a voting plan, and information for transgender voters, voters with felony convictions, and voters with disabilities.
Also included is an overview of each candidate for Mayor and City Council. City Councilors are elected by residents of their districts, the map of which can be viewed here.
The Mayor is elected by all residents of the city, and the candidate must receive a majority (50% or more) of the votes, which will be difficult with four candidates. Should a candidate fail to receive a majority of the votes, a run-off election will be declared and is scheduled for September 23, 2025.
